Hi everybody, in our company we are using ADABAS (on a z/OS-platform). For a new project I want to use the feature 'phonetic search' which is - as I think - provided with ADABAS. We are located in Germany, so we need german phonetic search. Who of you has experience in this? Any comment is welcome. TIA Thomas Kregeloh |

Yes, phonetic descriptors (= indices) are an integral feature of ADABAS, and are based on german phonetization rules by default anyway. Is there a specific question / concern you have in mind. |

Well, of course I am sure that everything will work as I want it to.... ;-) We have to search for names that we receive in a list, trying to find them in a database that we provide. It's the first time that I work with phonetic search, so I want to know if there are specific items to think of.
