Default SQL Plus - 02-18-2004 , 08:02 PM

Hello
I took a course in Oracle 8 (unfortunately, never did get to use it for
work)..
I have recently downloaded Oracle 9i in order to try to brush up my oracle
skills and update my skill set.
Im trying to log into SQL Plus as sys, but no matter which password I use,
it will not accept it.
change_on_install, manager
I also cannot remember what to put in for the host string.

Can anyone help me with this?

Thank you so much
Terry V

You established the SYS password when you created the database.
Have you tried logging into the SYSTEM account (which you also
set a password for)?

If you are working on the same machine where Oracle is installed
you don't need a host string. You should be able to get a
bequeathed connection.
