What is the default admin username and password for 9.2? I am taking a
class on Database Management and the course uses Oracle 9i - which I have
never used. I have installed the software but cannot connect to the default
database (oracle.ess.internal). I start the Enterprise Manager Console in
standalone mode but when I try connecting to the default database, I do not
know what parameters to use for username, password, and connect as. Any
help would be greatly appreciated.

In 9i, there is no default password for "sys" user or "system" user. The GUI
will force you to enter the password when you create the database.

You'd better ask the responsible person to get the connection parameter(TNS
alias), username and password.
