Default ORACLE MTS - 05-24-2004 , 01:12 PM

Hi,

I am evaluating the usage of ORACLE MTS options for our CORBA
services. I understand that MTS reduces the memory usage for a
database connection where as dedicated connection consumes more
memory. I would like to quantify this memory usage improvements in
MTS. Is anyone aware of tools to measure this.

Thanks in Advance.

It does NOT necessarily reduce the memory usage. It changes the memory
usage from one area of the machine to another. Look it up on

Are you really going to use 3,000 connections at one time? You need to
understand the differences and not just assume that you will be more
efficient with one over the other. Read the manuals at otn.oracle.com
