Default Unable to enter a date in a form field using IME and input mask - 12-30-2003 , 01:33 PM

I have a rather simple form that's using IME for Japanese conversion.
The field in question, is set to disable IME to allow a standard
numerical date to be entered. My problem is when you try to type a
date into this field, the cursor only allows the 1st character to be
entered. If I disable the input mask, the full date can be entered.
I have another date field on this form and this works fine. I've
checked and tripple checked the properties for these two fields and
they seem identical.

Can anyone suggest something I can do to get this date field to
function properly.

Thanks,

Fred
