Default Slow form load (unusual) - 04-15-2004 , 11:44 AM

I have been using Access for years now. I have been using the same database
with it for years. It always loads rather quickly. I also re-format at least
once a year, in which I just did last week. The unusual thing this time, is
the database loads quickly, but then the form specified for startup takes an
unusually long time (about 3 minutes). Does anyone have experience with this
and any suggestions at what may be causing this?

Thanks in advance,
magmike

Hello MagMike,

What do you mean by "re-format" it? Do you mean run repair
and compact on it?

Also, you might want to check your source tables for the
form and make sure the relevant fields have been indexed.

Regards,

Ray

My computer. I reformatted my computer, and reloaded all software, etc.
After doing this, my database started opening slow. The indexing thing makes
sense. I'll try it.

Mike
