Default scanning documents - 05-27-2004 , 07:15 AM

question:

I have sermon illustrations that I need to query quickly, and my paper
filing system is not working.

could I be able to scan a document and insert the data into a microsoft
access database memo field?

What OCR program would work best?

It seems to me that the OCR software would have to output into ascii code.
Then I could cut and paste into my database. Am I correct in this? or would
access recognize pdf files?

thank you,
rev. michael milinovich

Hi,

I'm actually having the same kind of problem. I'm creating a database,
and want to
import images into a field without switching to another program. I do
know that it
is possible to do this with a program called PaperBridge. But there is
one problem
the program is gone(I can't find it anymore), perhaps someone else is
able to find this software or has an idea for an alternative.

Thanx,

Peter
