running Access 97 in XP

I have a medical database on an old Windows 98SE which I would like to run
on Win XP but it XP will not accept it. Other programs in MS Office 97 will
run on XP.

Is there a reason for this? Any advice or recommendations will be
appreciated.

What do you mean by "won't accept it"? Do you mean that your machine won't run Access 97?
