I'd like to admit up front that this may very well be an easy question. I learn something new in Access nearly everyday, but I'm now stumped by something. I've looked for answers in the newsgroups, and found some leads, but I still cannot solve my problem. I appreciate any help. I have a table with multiple students. In each record is the student name, project name, score, and date. Each student can have several records and the scores can be "A" "B" "C" or "F". I'm trying to query distinct on students, to get one row for each student. In this row, I'd like to count the number of each score type. Ideally, I would then like to calculate the percentage of the total projects for each student, but that's way further than where I am now. I found an example that helps me count (and convert to percentage) each score type, but I can't seem to limit that to each unique student. Any suggestions or ideas to get me in the right direction. I'll apologize in advance if this is a no-brainer that I am overlooking! - Thanks |
