Seems to me like there's a setting somewhere that tells what macro to execute on
startup.

Just checked Tools/Startup and didn't see it though...

But I'm pretty sure it's somewhere and maybe that user managed to alter it...

I can only think of 3 things, one of which is not likely.

1. Pressing shift while starting app. You would know if you were
doing that.
2. Macor renamed or corrupted.
3. A conditional statemtn in the macro that exits under some
circumstance. In particular look in the macro or code it calls for
the "command" function. It may want a specific thing on the command
line.

Good Luck

I provide support for (someone else's) large application which starts up
with a proprieary Autoexec macro. One client has found that she is suddenly
NOT starting. The application loads, but she must manually run the macro. I
found this happening on my machine in the past, but have so many copies and
versions of the sofware that I just switched to another and never followed
up on the problem--the point being that though it's not a universal problem,
it's also not unique to this client.

How can I get this client running properly again?

Many thanks.

Pete,
couldn't the app be starting with a switch to run the macro, and that got edited?
