Default postal codes - 08-18-2003 , 05:08 PM

I am using the "product orders" template off page 3 of the Microsoft site.
This template works great except one thing. I am in Canada, and the
template is American.. so it will only allow me to enter a 5 digital zip
code for the states.. how do I change it to accept a 6 digit alpha numeric
Canadian Postal Code... tried a couple thins but messed up thee entire
template.

any info would be great, if you email me at simsghost (AT) hotmail (DOT) com

This is quite easy:
You need to change the Properties of the table into which you are
tyring to add the zip codes with 6 digits:

Open the table in design mode
Go to the field which stores the zip codes. Look at the Data Type.
Since you have alpha/numeric data, it should show Text
Look at the Field Size, below in the Field Properties section. It will
probably display 5. Just change it to the number of digits you want
(6).
Save and Close.
You should now be able to add zip codes with 6 digits.
