Default Opening a table - 02-26-2004 , 07:27 AM

Hello, I need some guidance on why when I first open my main database
of family history data, some 5500 records it proceeds to run "running
query". This can take up to 40 secs before the table can be used. The
problem has been with me for sometime, would appreciate some help.

Bob.

Bob:
My guess is this.
You sorted the table by some column that is not the primary key.
When you closed the table it asked if you wanted to save changes.
You said yes.

It can remember how you wanted it sorted, but it will not store the
table that way.

So each time you open, it resorts it to the way you wanted it.

Good luck
