Default not sure how to define the relationships with... - 03-27-2006 , 01:02 AM

I have a database with multiple tables. I want to query all tables
that have a match for a specified field value. Each of the tables may
have duplicate values for this field.

From what I have read, I need to define a many to many relationship,
but I am not sure how to go about doing this.

example:
4 tables with the same structure
ID (primary key)
name
quantity

What I need is a result for any "name" matches to user entered
criteria.

How do I do this?
Charles

I should rephrase this... I want to query all tables. I want the
resulting data set to indicate any matches from any table to the
specified field value.
