Default Need to set up a query to save labels - 11-16-2003 , 10:24 AM

Hello

I have to print three sets of labels for 20 people. I can simply do that,
straight out, but since there are 30 labels per label page, I'd be wasting
10 labels per page, unless I wanted to give them to my daughter to play
with.

How can I set up the query (or can I do this at the report level, which is
drawn from the query?) so that I can print each "batch" of labels one
immediately after another, without wasting any labels?

Thanks again.

It is also relevant to my question to mention that the 20 people are the
same 20 people that need mailing labels for each "batch" of labels.

Hello.

Perhaps what you could do, since the data is consistant for your
label report is to set up a table and have the 20 names in 3 times
in the order that you want.
1. Name Number 1
Name Number 1
Name Number 1
Name Number 2
Name Number 2
Name Number 2

or

2. Name Number 1
Name Number 2
Name Number 3
Name Number 1
Name Number 2
Name Number 3

Etc. Just depend on your end result. This way all names
will print out in triplicate and not waste any labels. Since
you have 30 labels per page, this will make 60 lables, or 2
pages used up.

Regards,

Ray

I'm in a similar dilema, I need to know of a way to start printing on a
certain label. However, the number of labels printed will vary. There must
be a way if avery label pro can tell the printer where to start printing.

Please help
