Default Microsoft Access Lookup Wizard - 05-28-2004 , 11:01 AM

I'm working in Microsoft Access 2002. I have two tables (Order and
Customer) that are related by a field called CustomerNum. I'm trying
to changed the data type for CustomerNum from a text to a Lookup
Wizard, but I get the follwoing error message:

"You can't change the data type or field size of this field; it is
part of one or more relationships. If you want to change the datat
type of this field, first deletle its relationships in the
Relationships window."

So I follow those instructions and delete the relationship, then go
back into my table and choose Lookup Wizrd as the data type, it lets
me select that data type. It brings on the intitial screen to select
value from a table or put in value I want. I select values from a
table, I choose my table, click next, then choose the fields I want.
Once, I'm finished selecting my fields I get this error message:

"Data Cannoot be retrieved from the source you have selected. You
must select a different table or query to continue in the wizard."

After that error, I totally lost anyone have any ideas. I would
greatly appreciate it.

Harry,
We need more information. Is the customer table where the lookup will
point to from the order table?

Harry,
We need more info. Are you trying to use the CustomerNum table as the
lookup from the Order table?
