Hi, I have designed a simple database using Microsoft Access 97 on a Windows XP machine. The database is basically a stock label generator. I have converted it to a MDE file to send to a floppy disk so that I can begin using it on the machine it was designed to be used on. When a open the MDE file on my computer it opens with no error messages and I get the splash screen (the main menu) I designed to run when the MDE file is opened using the Autoexec macro functionality. I also have no problems sending the file to the floppy disk. However when I try to open the file on the destination computer (running Windows Me) I get a error message when Microsoft Access 97 opens reading: Unrecognisable database format. I find this strange because I designed the database in Microsoft 97 and all I'm trying to do is run it on another machine also using Microsoft 97. Can anyone shine some light on this issue. |
