Default Linking a table to form - 09-10-2003 , 12:32 PM

I am trying to link a table to Form but how do you link a table to
form that a person can enter the data for Employee Form? What should I
do?

Thank you soo much for your help, I certainly appreciate it.

Try the form wizard? Good place to start.

Hi, Ashley

I don't know how you have your database set up at the moment, but I can tell
you the general procedure.

When you start a new database it has no tables, no forms, no queries, no
reports. You start everything off by setting up a table. If the table is
about employee information, then you put everything relevant into that table
in design view. It's best to separate data as much as possible because that
gives you better chances to query the database later on, so you set up a
field for the employee's last name, then the first name, then the deparment
he/she works in, etc., whatever seems relevant. You can set up tables using
the table wizard which have most of this information in them then change
whatever's appropriate.

Then you make the input form. The easiest way to do this is with an auto
form and there's a button in Access which lets you do this. You can also
automatically create reports, and so forth. Let me know if this helps you.

other day, will look for it so that I can post it here.
