Default intranet based databse - 01-31-2004 , 11:55 AM

Hi all,
I have been asked to created an intranet based database at work that
can be viewed on our intranet.

The problems i have are
1. i have created the database but not sure what is the best
application to use to create the intranet front end that will connect
to the database.

2.when i do create the intranet front , i want it to have a login page
for the person who will edit the database and others that can view the
data for information purposes, How do i go about this as well.

I have HTML, Access knowledge thats about it. Any advise/ideas/hints
would be welcome, also self explanatory codes are welcome.
Many thanks
TK

I'd say Dreamweaver. You can download a demo (if you have a broadband
connection). Dreamweaver has a lot of builitin stuff to make basic DV
stuff easy. It interfaces with Access quite well. You can write your
own code (ASP or JSP) if you need to.

Only bad news - it isn't cheap.

Good Luck

http://www.asp101.com/samples/db_simple.asp

If you have VBScript skills, it isn't much of a leap to create a few ASP pages to Retrieve data from
an Access db remotely.

Did you try the 'PAGES' option of Access to make an 'access page' ?
Looks like its worth a shot.
