My database has thousands of images created with Windows imaging from
Windows 2000 & 98. My new computer is not able to access these files as
Imaging is no longer included with windows (OLE application error). I
have other software (paperport) that can view the images and have set
the file associations in Windows Explorer to the new software but still
receive the error when attempting to open the .tiff files. A trial
version of Global 360 Imaging for Windows (the replacement for the old
imaging program) fixes the problem but it is over $200 CDN. Anyway
around this "gotcha"?
