Default finding a duplicate entry - 09-25-2003 , 11:52 AM

we have a database that contains 2500 records. one of the fiels is
social security number. it crashed and was recovered, but when i try
to set a primary key based on social security number it says there are
duplicate entries.

is there a way to query only the duplicate entries so i can correct
this?

thanks!

Use the Query Wizard to create a "Find Duplicate" query.
It's very simple to use.

There is a find duplicates query wizard in access which will pull out
the duplicates for you. Got to queries, and select new query using a
wizard, and pick the find duplicates option.

Hope it helps
