Default Example sources or embedding .WAV files into a table Q: - 11-30-2003 , 04:58 PM

Hello:

I would appreciate either an Internet resouce with code/examples
on the following, or a suggestion from y'all. I haven't yet learned
how to "do" modules, FWIW...

I'd like to add a field to an existing table which will store a .WAV file
that resides (anywhere) on the local computer. As far as as I know,
this will require multiple steps in Access 97, but I don't know the
fidgety bits yet.

Thus, when the user creates a record, on entry to a form field, a pop-up
would prompt the user for the file location. Once selected, the .WAV
file would be "embedded" into the table row. For browsing records,
the user would also have an icon that would allow for the playback of
the stored .WAV data. I would be entirely happy to have Access
use the standard Windows media player or sound recorder apps.

Is this a pain or fairly straightforward?

Thanks,
Bob
