I have started compiling a database of the History of a shipload of Convicts
from Ireland to New South Wales in 1816.
I seem to have finally got the start running correctly, I have used the
ships indent- Roll of Convicts aboard to start, my two main tables are
1. Master List contains list of names of all persons who will be listed in
the Database i.e the Convicts, their spouses, children and possibly
grandchildren through several generations.
2. Convicts list which contains all known detail regarding each convict
from the indent.
For the convict List i have created the necessary look up tables for
repeated data.
My questions are
1. For many of the Convicts I have between 2 and 20 further references
to quote and list. I want to be able to create a Report for Individual
convicts with all of the references contained
2. I also want to link spouses, children and further descenants to
the appropriate convicts- my thought at the moment is to include all of
these names in the Master List and create linked tables for spouse and
families.
