Default DAO vs ADO - 08-22-2003 , 07:29 AM

I'm starting to switch all of my code over to ADO but read something
the other day that has gotten me thinking so I wanted other opinions.
I read that DAO works best with with the Jet database. DAO is mature
and optimized for Jet. That if one is planning on keeping the Jet
datbase then one should stick with DAO.

Can you tell me your thoughts? Are you switching your code to ADO? If
so, what benefits have you derived from the switch (increased
performance, etc)?

Thanks,

Terri

I have continued to use DAO with my 2k and xp database that are to be used
with access. If I use VB or ASP I have moved to ADO. DAO is much easier
to use, mostly because I have used it longer.

My $0.02
