Default Combining Multilple Reports - 07-15-2004 , 03:41 PM

I have been hitting my head against a wall on this one.

I have several reports that I convert to pdf and combine. I am
looking for a way to have access combine the reports for me.

Background. Each record in the main table gets classified iinto one
of 5 different reports, based on whether or not they have a particular
field checked.

Running the differendt reports and coverting to pdf, then combining
them is a pain, because the individual pages of the final report are
in alphabetical order, not by report type.

Anyone have any ideas?

Jamie

Ola J:

Howzabount creating a Master/Subreport format where each of the five
detail reports is contained as a subreport within a master shell
report. When you open and convert the Master, each of the subreports
will be included in the output without having to open and combine them
separately.

On the Master report, insert a SubReport and set the .SourceObject to
the appropriate detail report you want to display. It may take some
teaking to get it to display as needed but it will be a lot easier to
manage once it's set.

I'm not sure I understand your sorting issue so I will leave it at
this for now.
