Is there a way to either create a website act like an access application or
can you redirect someone with something like a hyperlink to an access
program on a computer on your desktop?

Hi Mike,
I don't know your programming/database background but what you're
probably after is some ASP scripts which will churn out data from the
database into webpages. You can build controls on the pages that will
perform SQL actions. Best place to start is 4guysfromRolla.com. I know
there are some ASP scripts there that will provide basic database
manipulation.

Mail me if you're seeking development or further advice.

I think I have thought of a solution but may be the group could tell me what
to watch out for. My goal is to make available to physicians certain patient
information and I think I can accomplish this with netmeeting. I can have
them use the application database I have created on a dedicated machine.

What do you think?

I don't know about netmeeting. With asp/db stuff you can build nice
secure applications through the web. maybe your clients would access
this from home or the number would grow. perhaps netmeeting would
handle this, pass. if not, then asp would be an advantage. The one
advantage with asp is that users are shown exactly what you want them
to see and have certain powers to edit/add etc that you are in total
control of. If netmeeting is like a virtual login in some respects
would they be able to see the whole database - front and back?
