Default Can I turn off linking feature? - 09-03-2003 , 10:14 AM

Does anyone know if it is possible to set a property to turn off the
linking feature in MS Access so that another program (i.e. MS Word)
can not link to and see tables, queries or other objects within the
database?

I already have a password set and I do not want to use user level
security. Users will have access to the DB through the password. I
have also turned off the Shift Bypass property so that users can not
bypass the startup sequence. So the remaining problem is to get the DB
so that a savvy user could not make a mail merge and literally
recreate tables or other data from the db.

No, you can't really do this without user level security.
