Default Can 2003 make 2002 mde? - 07-13-2007 , 04:42 PM

I have been working on a database that i have set up to run on all the
office machines with 2002 runtime.
If I upgrade my office to 2003, and do work on the database, can I save it
in 2002 format, make and mde, and still have it run on the 2002 runtime? Or
will making the mde on 2003 make it so that it has to run on 2003 runtime?

Thanks

A newer version of ACCESS can run an .mde file created in an older version
of ACCESS, but not vice-versa. Therefore, you must use ACCESS 2002 to create
an .mde file that will run in 2002 runtime.

A 2002 .mde will run in a 2003 runtime.
