Default Access Web page - 01-22-2004 , 10:21 AM

Do you know what is the problem with
http://www.taiwanhightech.com/preview2004/serg.htm - how come the
database source is not showing? all Access books says that "it's so
easy" to create Web page, accessing the database, "just use the
wizard", and that's what I did, and it simply doesn't work. I must be
missing something, can you please give me your advice?

My ISP told me 100 different excuses, but maybe a real expert can tell
me the problem and hopefully how to solve? Here is what my ISP says..

At first they say "There is no system integration work necessary
here. " Then: "You are using DSN-less connection. The path to your
database file is incorrect:". Then:
"You are able to use an Access database with your account. You need
the proper code on your page to access it. Usually this is done with
an ASP script. You cannot access the database with an html file.
Please contact a web designer for more assistance."
Then: "Although we do register DLLs and COM objects, however we don't
register Microsoft Office Web components, this is not possible on a
shared windows webhosting plan. "
Then: "Adding sharepoint to your account will still not provide you
with the code you need to connect to your database from your scripts.
"
and then: "As much as we would like to lend assistance in this matter,
we are afraid that this falls outside of the scope of our technical
support.."

They drive me crazy.. BTW, do you receommend to display database
using that method at all? I don't know much about SQL stuff..
