I'm looking for ~user-friendly access based sales quoting database. I'm
using a filemaker pro dbase and though it is easy to use, I'm having
problems developing aspects of it (new forms, etc).

Any hints on some freeware/shareware or reasonable suggestions??/

You can build one, it should be pretty easy. I've done something similar
for my company. You need, at least, a client table, a quote table and a
quotes items table with the proper relationships built. Look at the
Northwind invoice form and based your work on it. The working of the
tables, forms and reports will be similar.
