Access Growing Pains -

I have been recently re-acquaint myself with ACCESS, I used access
from 1995 to 1998. I had developed a large database I was really
young and lacked any formal computer education ((still do)) I have so
many questions and even more issues. However I was 18 at the time and
had no experience in estimating and project management. I recently
have rekindled my interest in developing, but in I already know at
least back in 1997 that just the Automated Functioning of ACCESS alone
was not enough I was pretty good with the Access SQL engine but I need
to learn more about VB, ODBC, Jet or would I be better off with
learning SQL Server?
The application I have in mind is a well structured Project
Management Application for a small LAN (10+). Another of the previous
issues I had with access was enforcing referential integrity with
large numbers of linked tables. I bought 2 "Access Mastery Level"
books back in 97 and was disappointed to discover they really didn't
go beyond making an access automated macro ((which made my
workstations run slowly.
- sorry got carried away
