Default Access 97 and Windows XP - 11-28-2003 , 09:26 AM






I have WIN98SE and I am thinking of upgrading to XP, except that I am
concerned about XP compability with Access 97. Has anyone had
expierience with this?

No problem for me. I run A97 ans A2000 concurrently on a WinXP machine.

If you install Access 97 on Windows XP by using the setup file on the CD, only a user with
XP administrator rights will be able to use the program.

If you want users to have less than administrator rights, you need to use the Add/Remove
programs applet in the Control Panel to install Access 97.
